Arbore or Ulde tribe lives in southern Ethiopia near Lake Chew Bahir. Arbore are mainly pastoralists and just like most of the Omo tribes, livestock has a great value for the economic and social status of Arbore. Sheep, calves, goats and milking cows are kept within or around the village, but are temporarily moved during the drought periods, to the greener lands of the Tsamai and Borana tribes. Arbore women decorate their bodies with beads and necklaces and wear leather skirts decorated with beads and shells. Young girls shave their hair and cover the heads with a black piece of cloth as a protection from sunlight.
