Liwa Desert is located in Al Dhafra region, south of Abu Dhabi, on the edge of the Empty Quarter Desert. It is one of the largest and most beautiful sand deserts in the world, in which camels graze abundantly, and which contains many reserves and oases. The Liwa Desert is located between the UAE and Saudi Arabia overlooking the Sultanate of Oman. The height of its sand dunes is between 25 to 40 meters above the surface of the earth; the most famous of these is the (Terrifying Hill) which is the highest existing sand dune, and is a tourist attraction with its mysterious desert environment and the camel riding activity at sunrise or sunset.
